Battle of Blarathon
Byzantium restores Shah Khosrow II to his throne

In 590 the rebel general Bahram Chobin seized the Iranian throne and the young Khosrow II fled to Emperor Maurice. In summer 591 a joint Byzantine-Persian army defeated Bahram at Blarathon; in gratitude Khosrow ceded most of Armenia and Iberia to Byzantium.
