Our content
The texts about events, people, styles and works, the selections, the links between them and the “Did you know” facts were written and compiled for Panchronia. You are welcome to quote them with a link to the source page. Copying the database in whole or in substantial part requires permission.

Borders are a reconstruction
Historical borders are an approximate reconstruction from Cliopatria (Seshat Global History Databank, CC BY 4.0). Disputed territories are shown as in the source; this does not reflect a position of the project.
Personal data
The site needs no account (writing in the chat requires signing in, see below), sets no advertising or analytics cookies and runs no analytics. Your settings (language, theme, view) stay in your browser (localStorage). Images are loaded from Wikimedia Foundation servers, which, like any website, see your IP address.
Chat
Anyone can read the chat without signing in. To write, sign in with Telegram or Google — their scripts load only after you press “Sign in”. We store the name on the account and its Telegram or Google account number; we don’t receive or store your avatar, email or phone number. Signing in sets a single session cookie (for sign-in only, 30 days); “Sign out” removes it.
Messages are visible to all visitors and stored with the author’s name and time. The chat server and database run on Cloudflare (Workers, D1). Reported messages are forwarded to the moderator on Telegram. You can delete your own message via the “⋯” menu next to it; to delete your account entirely, contact us.
Supporting the project
Donations are handled by Stripe on its own page: we never receive your card details.
