The Bluefish Caves
People in the Yukon 24,000 years ago, or not?

In three small caves in northern Canada, animal bones carry marks read as cuts from stone tools, radiocarbon-dated to about 24,000 years ago. If that holds, people lived in Beringia at the height of the Ice Age, long before the accepted peopling of the Americas, but the link between the bones and the tools is disputed.
