Chanyuan Treaty
Song buys a century of peace from the Khitans
After a Khitan advance to the Yellow River, the Song made peace with the Liao: the border stayed put, but the Song agreed to pay 100,000 taels of silver and 200,000 bolts of silk every year. The peace held for more than a century.
