18,000 years in the ice, fur and whiskers intact

In 2018 a two-month-old puppy that died some 18,000 years ago was found in the Yakutian permafrost, fur and whiskers intact. DNA could not tell whether it was a dog or a wolf, so it was named Dogor, Yakut for 'friend'; in 2022 geneticists ruled it a wolf.
