The founding of Teotihuacan
The largest city of the pre-Columbian Americas begins to grow

Around 100 BC the city of Teotihuacan arose in the Valley of Mexico; its monuments, including the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, were built until the mid-3rd century AD. At its height it had perhaps 100,000 people — the largest city in the Americas and one of the largest in the world.
