Wagons appear almost at once from Poland to Sumer

The invention of the wheel

Around 3500 BC wheeled wagons appear almost simultaneously in Mesopotamia, the Pontic steppe and Central Europe: a pot from Bronocice in Poland shows a wagon, and a wooden wheel with its axle about 5,150 years old was found in the Ljubljana Marshes. The potter's wheel probably came even before the wheel for transport.
