Treaty of Bolotovo
Pskov breaks free of Novgorod
Novgorod, then at war with Sweden, recognised Pskov as its 'younger brother' rather than a dependency: Novgorodian officials no longer judged in Pskov, and the archbishop's deputy there was chosen from Pskovians. This created the Pskov Republic, which lasted until 1510.
