Peace of Rhandeia: an Arsacid on the Armenian throne
Armenia takes a Parthian prince, crowned by Nero
The war between Rome and Parthia over Armenia ended in 63 with a compromise at Rhandeia: the Parthian prince Tiridates would keep the Armenian throne but receive his crown from the Roman emperor. In 66 Tiridates came to Rome and Nero crowned him in state; Armenia stayed with the Arsacids for centuries.
