• Bach’s Coffee Cantatac. 1734 · Leipzig. Bach wrote the Coffee Cantata for the student orchestra that played at Zimmermann’s coffee house in Leipzig. A father threatens to deny his daughter a husband unless she quits coffee; she sings it is sweeter than a thousand kisses.
