Migrants from the Volga who reached the Altai and Mongolia

Around 3300–2500 BC cattle and sheep herders with wagons appeared in the Minusinsk Basin and the Altai, newcomers from the Volga–Ural steppe and kin of the Yamnaya. Their descendants may have been the Tocharians, an Indo-European people whose 6th–8th-century manuscripts were found in the oases of Xinjiang.
