The Han conquers Gojoseon
The first Korean state falls and becomes four Han commanderies
In 109 BC Emperor Wu of Han sent an army and a fleet against Wiman Chosŏn, whose King Ugeo blocked his neighbours' contact with China. After a long siege the capital Wanggeom-seong fell in 108 BC, and the lands of Old Chosŏn became four Han commanderies, among them Lelang.
