Fall of Western Xia and death of Genghis Khan
The Mongols destroy the Tangut kingdom

The Tangut kingdom of Western Xia refused to aid the Mongols against Khwarazm, and Genghis Khan marched on it himself. In the summer of 1227 the Xia capital surrendered and was sacked; Genghis Khan died during the campaign that same year.
