Tash Rabat caravanserai
A stone Silk Road inn hides high in the Tian Shan

In a high valley on the road from Fergana to Kashgar stands a domed stone caravanserai with dozens of rooms where caravans sheltered before the pass. It is usually dated to the 15th century, though some think a Christian monastery stood here earlier.
