A peasant sect shakes the Han and begins the dynasty's end
The Daoist preacher Zhang Jue raised hundreds of thousands of peasants with the slogan 'The Blue Heaven is dead; the Yellow Heaven shall rise'. The main rebel forces were crushed within the year, but the generals who put down the revolt gained armies of their own. The Han empire broke up into warlord domains and then the Three Kingdoms.
