Battle of the Vorskla River
Edigu crushes Vytautas, ending Lithuania's hopes in the steppe

Grand Duke Vytautas of Lithuania backed the deposed khan Tokhtamysh against Edigu's protégé, Khan Temür Qutlugh. On the Vorskla his army, with Rus' princes and Teutonic knights, was routed. Dozens of princes were killed, and Vytautas's plans to control the Horde collapsed.
