Richard II
1367 – 1400 · 33 years · London · Europe
Reign: 1377 – 1399 (England and Britain)
Came to the throne at ten; at fourteen he personally faced Wat Tyler's rebels in the Peasants' Revolt of 1381. His autocratic rule alienated the nobles: in 1399 his cousin Henry Bolingbroke deposed him, and he soon died in captivity at Pontefract Castle.
