Fall of France
In six weeks the Wehrmacht defeats France

On 10 May 1940 Germany attacked the Netherlands, Belgium and France; its tanks broke through the Ardennes at Sedan, and some 338,000 Allied troops were evacuated from Dunkirk. On 22 June France signed an armistice at Compiègne: the north and west were occupied and the Vichy regime ruled the south.
