Russia abolishes the Kingdom of Kartli-Kakheti
Despite the 1783 treaty, kingdom and dynasty are abolished
In 1801 manifestos of Paul I and Alexander I incorporated Kartli-Kakheti into the Russian Empire. Contrary to the 1783 Treaty of Georgievsk, Russia abolished the kingdom and removed the Bagrationi dynasty, whose members were sent to Russia; the land came under Russian administration.
